This course PM Essentials is a basic introduction to project management for people who
need some elementary comprehension. The course focuses on the main best-practice
approaches in Project Management and gives an insight into standard methods and
concepts. With its 31 lessons grouped into 9 thematic modules, the learner is introduced
step-by-step to project management, its reasoning as well as its instruments and methods.
Thanks to the numerous examples and exercises, which are available in a variety of formats,
the learner can put in practice the acquired knowledge in a dynamic way.

The lessons are structured as follows:
• „Theory“ explains the theme.
• „How-to-do“ gives a step-by-step introduction to concepts
• „Exercises“ allow the participants to put in practice the learned concepts. They can
repeat and deepen the theory

PM Essentials is available in different languages: English, German, French.

Extra service: The learner can choose whether he/she wants to be accompanied by an

Target group:

• Members of Project Teams.
• Everyone who wants a basic introduction into Project Management.

Objectives:
At the end of the course, the participants will be able to:
• Understand the basic principles and concepts of Project Management;
• Apply Project Management methods and instruments into practice;
• Contribute to project success.

DURATION AND PDU’S
Once the access activated, it will be valid for 12 months. The average duration for completing
the course is 6 hours.

To finish the course, the learner must complete all lessons with a minimum of 80%.
STS is a PMI® Authorized Training Partner (ATP N° 2073). After the course completion, the
learner can request a certificate for the PDU claim.
